Frequently asked questions

We now have an FAQ list that we hope will help you answer some of the more common ones.

1. What is the warranty period and what does it cover?

The warranty covers manufacturing defects excluding wear and tear parts (e.g. mechanical seals, oil seals, O-rings etc.) for a period of 1 year from the date of installation/commissioning. This warranty will only be applicable for machines manufactured by CKL Multimix, thus excluding retrofitted machines commissioned by customers.

2. How often should I change my oil?

For machines which come with gear motor, its gear oil should be changed ideally every 6 months to avoid machine breakdown. For hydraulic lifting system, it is recommended to change its hydraulic oil when the lifting/lowering speed is noticeably longer than usual. Kindly contact us here to book a scheduled maintenance service.

3. How do I take care of Multimix machines for longer shelf life?

We advise customers to do a maintenance/preventive service every 6 months as good practice. This is to avoid downtime in customer’s production line in the event of machine breakdown.

4. Where and how can I buy Multimix machines?

We export machines worldwide from our headquarter based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Kindly contact us to find out your nearest dealers/distributors.

5. Do you sell/provide spare parts for used Multimix models?

Yes, just provide us your machine serial number for our check and we will quote you.

6. Are Multimix machines available for loan or trial prior purchase?

Yes, depends on the model availability and your process requirements, we can tailor make an attractive loan package or arrange a trial mixing at our factory.

7. How do I make sure Multimix machines will produce the desired results of my end product?

We have a wide range of existing laboratory and process mixers for trial testing as well as rental package which can be tailored made as per client’s application needs and loan period.

For our local customers, we always offer the option to do trial mixing/FAT as well as including commissioning after delivery so they can be rest assured that the mixers will work as expected.

It is also normal for overseas customers to send us their raw materials during consultation phase to gain confidence as well as to discuss their process requirements to ensure the mixers ordered shall satisfy their requirements. Last but not least, we provide FAT and validation documentation for every project to ensure our mixers quality.

8. Why should I use a Multimix high shear mixer?

More often than not, customers do not realise the time and consequently cost savings by using an effective and efficient high shear mixer compared to conventional agitators or poorly made high shear mixer which lead to long production time.

9. Are Multimix machines GMP compliant?

Yes, we have had clients in food, cosmetic, medical and pharmaceutical industries producing various products complying to the GMP and sanitary requirements.

10. Do Multimix machines come with DOSH certificate?

Yes, we work with a third party agency to certify our jacketed vacuum vessels so that they are safe for production use and certified locally in their respective countries.

11. There are too many bubbles in my end product, what should I do?

High shearing action while effective in producing stable emulsion may sometimes produces bubbles as side product at the end of mixing. This is where Multimix DSM vacuum high shear mixer comes into rescue where the entire mixing can be done under vacuum condition thus minimizing deaeration at the end.

12. How do I get rid of agglomerates ?

Gums and thickeners such as Carbomer tend to agglomerate when added to liquids and conventional agitators cannot disperse them effectively thus unsightly lumps are formed. The Multimix Inline High Shear Mixer with its multi stage rotor stator system can break these lumps efficiently and thus producing homogenous end product within minutes, leading to higher production yields and precious time savings.
